HOW TO TRAVEL INTER-STATE USING YOUR NYSC "PASS" FROM MAY 4TH: CORPS MEMBERS

HOW TO TRAVEL INTER-STATE USING YOUR NYSC "PASS" FROM MAY 4TH: CORPS MEMBERS

With the announcement of the passing out parade of the batch B Stream1 2019 Corps members across the 36 states in Nigeria, it is expected that those who traveled home are to start returning to their state of deployment to collect their certificates.

This development has thrown many passing out Corps members into a state of confusion as to how they are going to retun to their various states of deployment admist the inter-state lockdown that is to commence all over Nigeria from May 4th, 2020.

From the circular issued by the NYSC headquarters in Maitama Abuja, it was stated that NYSC officials that are to conduct the Passing Out Parade exercise across the various states would be given a pass (a document which permits them to move inter-state during the lock down) which they are to tender at any military check point upon request.

For Corps members, the NYSC ID card which serves as a means of identification also serves as a pass which they can present at checkpoints in order to move from one location to another during the lockdown with valid reasons for their movements.

All traveling Corps members should endeavor to always move with their NYSC ID card to avoid harassment and the probability of being sent back. For those who might have misplaced their ID cards, a police report document attached with a copy of your PPA letter can serve in place of your ID card.

The NYSC is trying its best to make the process a smooth and swift one while looking out for the best interest of Corps members across the country.

Travel safely.
