As the ace was having his exercises, he was joined by a mystery woman as they had the session together. Ighalo was pictured with the lady as he exercised in a public park in Cheshire. The Nigerian striker was spotted doing some drills after the government announced that the Premier League would return on June 1, 2020, with matches played behind closed doors.

Ighalo wore his No.25 shorts with a red shirt and a white Nike trainers to the park. He also made time to sign an autograph for a supposed United fan as he maintained the social distancing rules. The 30-year-old has scored four goals in eight matches so far for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men since his January arrival. And he is set to continue from where he stopped before the coronavirus sprang up and crippled all footballing activities around the globe.

Matches are slated to return by June 1, but games will be played with spectators in attendance until a cure for COVID-19 is found. Ighalo has a new two-year contract offer on the table at Shanghai worth a staggering £400,000-a-week as his hopes to get a permanent deal at Old Trafford hangs in the balance. Former Manchester United star Gary Neville has questioned the rationale behind the club wanting to sign the 30-year-old permanently for £20million.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly impressed with the former Watford man and it was gathered that he is ready to splash £20 million ($25m) on the ex-Watford striker.

LocalNigeria earlier reported that Odion Ighalo has become a surprise target for Premier League side Newcastle once their £300million takeover is completed. The former Nigerian international is currently on loan at Man United and the 30-year-old is favoured to earn a permanent deal at Old Trafford. But the Magpies are looking to make themselves a force to reckon with in the English top-flight division next season. United will need to pay Ighalo's parent club Shanghai Shenhua £20million to make his deal permanent but reports claim Newcastle are looking to overtake United in the deal.
